It’s not easy…because when you reached a high level on a previous endeavor, starting from zero gives the impression you can’t reach that level again, climbing the mountain is harder the second time…it sounds counterintuitive but it’s true because you start wondering why, if it’s worth it, if you will be as excited, you start thinking about the third time you will have to do it,…so the key is to keep the motivation to keep starting again and keep going…that’s when your why becomes essential…

For sure. Definitely not always easy to start again. Obviously we aren't starting from zero in the sense of skill and experience. We keep the skill that we've gained and the experience that we have when we start our new endeavor. I think the main take away from what Teddy is saying is that the starting point of zero, in the sense of starting our next project whatever that may be, is a common ground among artists. Something we can all relate to. But I also think that starting from zero gives the opposite of the impression that we can't reach that high level again.

It leaves room for the full potential of the project to come through. Our goal isn't to make an award winning piece every time. We don't make art for other people, but to reflect the life that we've lived. And some of what we make will flop and some will be accepted well. And I think you hit the nail on the head when you said, "that's when your why becomes essential" because if our "why" becomes based off of how it's received, then starting at zero becomes the most daunting of tasks.
